Spring is Here: How the Season Impacts Our Beverage Production

Ah, Spring! The days are getting longer, the sun shining a little warmer, and for us in beverage production, it’s an exciting time of year. Spring isn’t just about flowers blooming and birds chirping (though that’s lovely too) - it’s when everything in our vineyard and production process truly kicks into gear. It’s a time for renewal and growth, and it’s when we start laying the foundation for the delicious wines we’ll enjoy, including our eagerly anticipated vintage 2025.

The Vineyards Are Waking Up!

One of the most beautiful sights for me every Spring is watching our vineyards wake up from their Winter nap. After months of dormancy, the vines stretch awake, with tiny buds bursting open and new shoots reaching for the sun. This, my friends, is where the magic of beverage production begins!

Spring is all about nurturing that new growth. Our team is out there closely monitoring every vine, ensuring they’re happy and healthy because we know that strong vines lead to incredible grapes - and that’s the heart of everything we do.

Early Harvest Planning – It’s a Team Effort

While harvest might feel like it’s far away, Spring is when we start getting ready behind the scenes. It’s like planning a big event—you’ve got to get all the details sorted so everything goes smoothly. Our winemaking team is already tracking the weather and prepping for how the season might play out. Will it be a warm, early Spring, or will there be a surprise frost? Either way, we’re ready to adjust, because flexibility is essential in beverage production.

It’s all about teamwork: making sure the irrigation is just right, keeping pests at bay, and ensuring those vines have everything they need to flourish. A good Spring sets the stage for a fantastic harvest, and we’re all looking forward to seeing what it will bring for our vintage 2025.

Spring Beverages Are Taking the Spotlight

Now, let’s talk drinks! As the weather warms up, people start reaching for lighter, more refreshing beverages—hello, rosé! This is the season when crisp whites, sparkling wines, and zesty ginger beers take centre stage. Our beverage production team shifts gears in Spring to focus on creating those perfect sips that complement sunny days and outdoor adventures.

And guess what? We’re always playing with new flavours around this time, introducing limited-edition batches and experimenting with citrusy, tangy, and refreshing notes. There’s something about Spring that makes you want to try something exciting and fresh, and we’re here for it!

Sustainability – A Fresh Start for Us, Too

Spring doesn’t just bring new life to the vineyard, it’s also a reminder for us to renew our commitment to sustainability in beverage production. This season, we’re more focused than ever on eco-friendly practices, whether that’s reducing water usage, using more sustainable packaging, or finding innovative ways to lower our energy consumption.

A good Spring leads to strong vines, and we’re already looking forward to seeing the growth develop through Spring and summer.

A Season Full of Possibilities

For me, Spring is pure excitement. The vines are growing, the team’s buzzing with energy, and we’re all working together to make this year’s wines and beverages the best they can be. I can’t wait to see how everything turns out, especially for our vintage 2025, and I know you’re going to love what we’re crafting.

So here’s to Spring! The start of something beautiful in the vineyard and beyond. Let’s raise a glass to fresh beginnings, hard work, and delicious beverages that are on the way, including our soon-to-be-legendary vintage 2025. Cheers!
